The Congregation of Dominican Missionary Sisters of the Rosary was founded in Peru, South America 1918 by our Co-Founders Msgr. Ramon Zubieta & Blessed Mother Ascension Nicol of Spain belongs to the Order of Dominicans for the Evangelization of the poor in the Amazon jungle.
Our Charism: TO PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR IN THOSE MISSIONARY SITUATIONS WHERE THE CHURCH NEEDS US MORE.
OUR MISSION is our service to the integral promotion of the people, patterned according to the needs of education, health care, social & pastoral work.
Today we, the Dominican Missionary Sisters work in 21 countries in four continents around the globe following the 4 pillars of Dominican way....PRAYER, STUDY, COMMUNITY LIFE & MISSION.
16th November 1954 , five Spanish Sisters arrived India , Gujarat. Now we are spread in five states, having fourteen communities. One of them is at Manjeshwar.
We, the Provincial Coordinators along with two Sisters arrived here on 1st November 2002. The purpose of our coming is for vocation promotion, education: formal & informal and expanding our activities in South India.
Activities : Pastoral work, Hostel for girls & income generating programme.
At present: Pastoral Work, teaching in the School, Hostel for the girls, coaching classes for the deserved children.
